Cultural Assets

Care & Stewardship

The Culture & Arts Program helps with the care and stewardship of cultural items, including traditional canoes used for youth and educational programming. By maintaining and sharing these cultural assets with our community, the program supports hands-on learning experiences that connect younger generations to cultural practices, history, and values.

Cultural Assets and Community Trust

GHF’s cultural assets collection is shaped through community-based projects and through donations entrusted to us by individuals and local organizations. We are committed to protecting items from damage or misuse, respecting cultural and familial connections, and ensuring decisions prioritize long-term cultural wellbeing. Our role is not to make cultural assets widely available, but to ensure they are cared for responsibly for future generations.

Donate Cultural Materials

Preserving cultural assets requires care, knowledge, and community support. If you have cultural materials you would like to donate and entrust to responsible care, we invite you to contact us to begin a conversation or visit our Donate page to learn more about how your contribution can help protect these resources for future generations.
