Shawna began serving on the GHF board in 2022. She is currently employed as an elementary classroom teacher at Riverbend Elementary School in Juneau, where she also previously taught at Auke Bay Elementary and served as a Case Manager with Juneau Youth Services. Shawna holds a Master’s in the Art of Teaching from the University of Alaska Southeast, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alaska Southeast. Previously, she served as Board President of the Chilkoot Culture Camp. Shawna is a Goldbelt shareholder.
