On Sunday, January 28th, GHF co-hosted along with the Treadwell Ice Arena and Tlingit & Haida Native Youth Olympics team, an open skate in Juneau. The event, which was free to the public, attracted approximately 375 attendees. “The Open Skate was a blast and a huge success,” said GHF Executive Director. “The Programming team did an excellent job on planning this activity and we were pleased to see everyone having so much fun. Gunalchéesh to everyone who stopped by!”
In addition to the skate, other fun activities included Tlingit language games and activities, readings of GHF’s Tlingit language book Kuhaantí, and Native Youth Olympics demonstrations.
