Since the program was relaunched in 2001, approximately 800 shareholders and descendants have been awarded more than $2.1 million in scholarship funding.
Scholarship amounts depend on total amount of funds allocated to
the scholarship fund each year and the number of student’s applying.
Eligibility Guidelines:
- Be a Goldbelt, Inc. shareholder or descendant
- Attending an accredited program
- Have a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Submit a completed application by the application deadline
The application period for the 2022-23 academic year is January 31-April 15, 2022. A complete application must include:
- Goldbelt Shareholder ID Number or
- If applying as a descendant status, include copy of birth certificates to establish descendancy to an original or current Goldbelt shareholder.
- Original school transcripts with a school seal or a school administrator’s original signature from last school attended. Copies will not be accepted.
- Letter of Acceptance from school or proof of current enrollment.
- Educational goals essay that describes your educational objectives and career goals (must be at least one page in length, 12 pt. font, single spaced, Times New Roman).
Apply for a Higher Education Scholarship on the MyGoldbelt Portal. If not registered, you must do so in order to complete an application.

No, we send your scholarship fund in two disbursements. One check in the Fall equaling half of your scholarship (50%) and the second check in the Spring equaling the remainder of your scholarship (50%).
