Cultural Awareness Training
GHF offers services that provide Cultural Awareness Training that helps organizations and groups gain awareness and familiarity of the different cultures and traditions of Alaska Natives.
Through our unique trainings, which can be tailored to your organization’s needs, participants learn:
- The regional differences between Alaska Native tribes throughout the state
- Native Language structures and uses
- Cultural customs and traditions
- Cross-cultural communications techniques
- Skills for building and maintaining relationships among diverse Native cultures
Trainings are available in-person, via online distance, or hard copy documents can be provided.
GHF approaches cultural awareness training through an organic and open process that fosters discussion, encourages questions, and leaves participants with a new understanding of Alaska’s diverse Indigenous cultures.
