GHF is co-hosting a Language Summit to be held in Juneau, Alaska, on August 4-6, 2025. The summit’s vision is to provide “a space of collaboration, cultural revitalization, and inclusion, where Lingít, Xaad Kíl, and Sm’algyax languages are honored and strengthened. It unites communities, educators, and leaders, ensuring all voices are heard and all participants feel connected and inspired.” With a focus on professional development, immersion, and shared knowledge, the Summit will foster deep connections, cultural integrity, and lasting impact. It is a celebration of resilience, hospitality, and joy, where our languages thrive, our communities unite, and our future in language revitalization grows stronger.
In addition to GHF, co-sponsors include Sealaska Heritage, Tlingit & Haida, the Association of Alaska School Boards, and Sealaska Corp.
